Delaware County is a great place to start a farm. Farm Catskills and our partner organizations want to help farmers get the resources they need to thrive here in the Catskills.
We are starting two programs to help new farmers:
- a paid on-farm internship program providing hands-on, paid training, and an individualized learning plan for those interested in agriculture, and
- a New Farmer Incubator, providing affordable land and shared equipment in a supportive community to new farmers.
In addition, we are working with partner organizations to provide opportunities in agriculture for youth who are interested in farming!
