Cultivating Connections, a collaboration between Farm Catskills and "Story" Laurie McIntosh, introduced the techniques of song writing to young students in Delaware County. Last autumn, Story Laurie visited the elementary students of Delaware Academy and South Kortright to celebrate our land, water and local food system.
On Saturday, September 15, Farm Catskills hosted our first Apple Picking Drive at Middlefield Apple Orchard. The owners, Will and Joan Bruneau have been raising apples for 9 years on this stretch of land, just 10 miles Southwest of Cooperstown. Acre after acre is filled with fruitful apple trees, just waiting to be picked!
